Georges Seurat, 1859 – 1891
Georges
Seurat + painting = A
PASSION
This artist paints in oil,
by the thousands,
tiny dots of primary colors
RED YELLOW BLUE
His painting technique is called pointillism.
Like circus people, Seurat, in his work,
looks for
balance.
To reach it, he draws lots of sketches
before using oil.

The circus artists had fun in juggling with some of the words in the following text. Your mission is to put them back in the right places !
equestrian – tamer – elephants – tightrope – walker – somersaults
-trapezists – magician – acrobats
The lions are looking for
their ______________ who stopped to watch
the fabulous ______________ of the ______________ !
Three
enormous ______________ have also vanished
and the show starts
at 7 o’clock sharp.
Could it be a not so nice
trick of our friend the ______________ ?
Oh! I can see the pretty
______________ , the nimble ______________ and the ______________ who are getting
ready to enter the ring.
What a stunning show!
Being a juggler,
a tightrope walker or a clown demands
a lot of energy; so you must be in
great shape and maintain it.
Warming
up, recuperating, training and
of course eating properly!
It’s quite a program for
an athlete. I can hear you say
that you’re “fed up” with
vitamins; that’s a pity,
but I still suggest you have some
deliciously sweet ones in :
The
Potage Crécy for future
acrobats
6 orange or yellow or red carrots (yes, they all do exist!)

- Cook
them at least one hour
in 3 litres of celery broth,
- Add salt, pepper and parsley
to your taste,
- When all the vegetables are
tender, puree them with a
colander,
- Put them back into the hot
broth and gently stir,
- Your
Potage Crécy is ready
to eat, with cream and croutons.
And off you go, back to
exercising!
